PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) adalah perusahaan tambang yang beroperasi di Indonesia dan merupakan anak perusahaan dari Freeport-McMoRan, sebuah perusahaan tambang besar yang berbasis di Amerika Serikat. PTFI mengelola salah satu tambang tembaga dan emas terbesar di dunia yang terletak di daerah Grasberg, Papua.

Tambang Grasberg terkenal karena memiliki cadangan tembaga dan emas yang sangat besar, dan PTFI telah beroperasi di sana sejak tahun 1972. Selain tambang terbuka, PTFI juga mengoperasikan tambang bawah tanah yang kompleks di area yang sama. CENTRAL SERVICES – ANALYST, ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT QA/QC SIB

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans, inspection and test plans, and procedures, along with necessary follow-up actions through planned surveillance visits to suppliers and sites. This includes managing documents, setting acceptance criteria, defining inspection scope, assigning responsible personnel, verifying documentation, and identifying inspection stages.
  • Conduct field inspections and quality control checks to gather essential information related to QA/QC requirements efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee material inspections and reporting.
  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and final product samples.
  • Coordinate with clients and site construction teams for installation and testing activities.
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits of the site documentation system.
  • Assist the Construction team in Electrical & Instrumentation installations.
  • Track project progress.
  • Develop and monitor the project issue list and punch list based on site progress.
  • Supervise and analyze assigned projects in line with QA/QC requirements to ensure compliance with the necessary quality standards and specifications.
  • Establish and maintain a Quality Documentation system for QA/QC construction activities to ensure all activities are properly documented according to standards.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when there are significant deviations from specifications or drawings, and communicate these to the construction and execution engineers.
  • Evaluate, review, and recommend improvements to document maintenance and reporting systems to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify development needs for subordinates and implement strategies to enhance their capabilities.
  • Guide, monitor, and enforce safety standards and procedures within the work area to minimize accidents and property damage.

Key challenges in this role include:

  • Advanced skills and knowledge in the latest work methods, testing, and inspection equipment technology related to Electrical & Instrumentation work.
  • Aligning with construction schedules and activities.

Required background, education, and experience:

  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in plant infrastructure or the mining industry.
  • Diploma (D3) in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience as an inspector or in QA/QC within plant infrastructure or the mining industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, as well as Indonesian and International Electrical Standards such as IEEE, NETA, NEC, IEC, PUIL, SNI, and other relevant industrial standards.
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Visio, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Ability to operate Electrical & Instrumentation testing equipment like Insulation Resistance testers, VLF testers, TTR, Winding Resistance testers, BDV testers, Bonding grounding equipment, etc.

CENTRAL SERVICES – FOREMAN, CORROSION #1

Key duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Plan and schedule daily workforce activities, including manpower alignment.
  • Inspect work areas before, during, and after construction activities to ensure safety and address any unsafe conditions.
  • Lead and guide the crew in conducting FRM meetings and ensure that all crew members inspect their areas and complete the E-FRM (CCC).
  • Perform CCFV checks for all crew members and address any unsafe conditions or missing critical controls.
  • Ensure that all crew members are using the correct PPE and other necessary safety equipment.
  • Verify that all crew members are using the appropriate tools/equipment and that all tools on site are well-maintained and properly stored.
  • Communicate with area owners or other relevant parties to resolve any field construction issues.
  • Confirm that all required materials are available on-site before commencing construction work.
  • Lead and direct the crew in following emergency protocols.
  • Ensure that all crew members participate in and complete all mandatory training as scheduled.
  • Conduct assessments of subordinates, provide feedback, and develop improvement plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineers from other areas and with the safety supervisor to approve safety aspects of special work permits for high-risk tasks (e.g., hot work permits, excavation permits, overhead crane checklists) and manage fatigue risks to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Prepare daily construction activity reports and update KPIs as required.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • D3/S1 with 5 years of experience in construction/supervision.
  • High School/STM with a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction work (e.g., welder, rigger, piping).

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Traits):

  • Proficient in understanding technical drawings.
  • Strong safety leadership skills, including the ability to lead safety meetings, conduct JSA reviews, and perform risk assessments.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Competent in basic computer operations.

CENTRAL SERVICES – FOREMAN, LL CONSTRUCTION WELDING/PIPING #2

Key duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assist the supervisor in planning and scheduling manpower and material provisions for construction projects, ensuring that all work aligns with project requirements, adheres to the schedule, and meets budgeted man-hours while complying with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Oversee the material utilization plan and requirements, including Material Take Offs (MTO), and coordinate material deliveries to ensure they align with the project timeline.
  • Implement and monitor monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all projects to ensure that specific work completion targets are achieved as per guidelines.
  • Supervise the execution of construction design drawings and fieldwork to ensure that the completed construction matches the design and meets client specifications.
  • Report any discrepancies between design drawings and field conditions to the supervisor, highlighting potential design changes needed to ensure that fieldwork is based on accurate designs, thereby improving productivity and avoiding rework.
  • Assist in supervising and controlling construction activities, preparing periodic reports to ensure that all installations comply with international standards and codes.
  • Coordinate safety measures by analyzing incoming work for safety considerations and providing proper safety guidelines for construction activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers from other areas and the safety supervisor to approve safety aspects of special work permits for high-risk activities (e.g., hot work permits, excavation permits, overhead crane checklists) and manage fatigue risks, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with company standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the Construction crew’s knowledge and skills to improve their performance and responsibilities further.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school or vocational school diploma with at least 10 years of field construction experience.
  • OR a D3 degree in a relevant engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of field construction experience.
  • OR an S1 degree in a relevant engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering, with at least 2 years of field construction experience.

PURCHASING – FOREMAN, BULK PROCUREMENT SUPPORT

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee material expediting for all Purchase Orders (POs) related to Bulk Commodities at the PTFI Papua mine site, coordinating with suppliers to obtain accurate, up-to-date information on order status, delivery schedules, and potential delays.
  • Manage the creation, confirmation, and maintenance of Bulk Commodities POs for the PTFI Papua mine site, ensuring alignment with the company’s predetermined cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Proactively compile and manage all administrative tasks related to Bulk Commodities at the PTFI Papua mine site, ensuring adherence to PTFI’s administrative procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address issues related to material shortages, quality concerns, or delivery delays, and oversee the transportation of materials from suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics.
  • Conduct research and regularly update information on the Global Commodity Price Index for Bulk Materials relevant to the PTFI Papua mine site.
  • Support the purchasing function and the PTFI Papua mine site Operations Team, communicate any supply issues that may impact business operations, and obtain accurate forecasts from the operations team.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, procurement, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to actively motivate counterparts and subordinates.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
  • Proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, both spoken and written.
